quien/que + pretérito de indicativo/pretérito 1 de subjuntivo (who/that + preterite indicative/imperfect subjunctive)

Ejemplos:

fue/fuera

1) [Usando pretérito de indicativo (Using preterite indicative)]:
El Sr. Martínez quien fue entrenador del equipo en la década de los 60 falleció a la edad de 82 años. [La mejor escogencia (The best choice)].
(Mr. Martinez, who coached the team in the 60's died at the age of 82.)

2) [Usando pretérito 1 de subjuntivo (Using imperfect subjunctive)]:
El Sr. Martínez quien fuera entrenador del equipo en la década de los 60 falleció a la edad de 82 años. [Posible y muy común, pero no la mejor escogencia (Possible and very common, but not the best choice)].
(Mr. Martinez, who coached the team in the 60's died at the age of 82.)

terminó/terminara

3) La oferta que terminó la semana pasada es todavía muy buscada por los clientes. [La mejor escogencia (The best choice)].
(The offer ended last week is still highly sought after by customers.)

4) La oferta que terminara la semana pasada es todavía muy buscada por los clientes. [No la mejor escogencia (Not the best choice)].
(The offer ended last week is still highly sought after by customers.)
