camuflar / camuflajear (to camouflage)

camuflar / camuflajear (to camouflage)

El verbo correcto de acuerdo al DRAE (Diccionario de la Real Academia Española) es camuflar que viene del francés "camoufler". En España usan 'camuflar'.

Pero en México y Centroamérica se usa sólo camuflajear (verbo creado a partir del sustantivo 'camuflaje'). En los países del Caribe donde se habla español se usan ambos 'camuflar' y 'camuflajear'.
En Colombia y hacia el sur se usa 'camuflar'.

Ejemplo:
Hay un camaleón camuflado en ese árbol.
