Fanático/aficionado = fan (sports)
Abanico = fan (manual)
Ventilador = fan (electric)

El fanático de fútbol estaba tan acalorado que usó un abanico durante el partido y al llegar a casa encendió el ventilador. (The football/soccer fan was so heated that he used a fan during the match and when he got home turned on the fan.)
