Más o menos

Cada día un poco de práctica (Every day a little practice):

Más o menos = So, so

Ejemplo:
A: ¡Hola Alfredo! ¿Cómo estás?
B: Más o menos. Todavía tengo algo de tos.

A: Hi Alfredo! How are you?
B: So, so. I still have some cough.

Spanish speakers never say 'así, así' meaning 'so, so'. That is the literal translation of 'so, so'. We say 'más o menos'.
In some Spanish books you can find the expression 'así, así', but probably these books were written by non-native speakers.
Who knows, maybe in time 'así, así' becomes more widely used than 'más o menos'.
In other contexts, ‘más o menos’ can be translated as 'roughly' or ‘about’.

Ejemplo:
Quedan, más o menos, treinta botellas en la parte de atrás.
There are, roughly, thirty bottles in the back.
