mediodía - medianoche

A mediodía - Al mediodía = At noon

A medianoche - A la medianoche = At midnight

De acuerdo al 'Diccionario panhispánico de dudas' (DPD) se pueden escribir de las dos maneras, con y sin artículo. Además, medianoche puede escribirse con dos palabras: media noche.
(According to the 'Pan-Hispanic Dictionary of Doubts' (DPD) they can be written both ways, with and without the article. In addition, 'medianoche' can be written in two words: 'media noche'.)

Para mediodía, la forma que más se usa es con artículo, 'al mediodía'.
(For 'mediodía', the most widely used way is with article, 'al mediodía'.)

Para medianoche, la forma que más se usa es sin artículo, 'a medianoche'.
(For 'medianoche', the most widely used way is without article, 'a medianoche'.)

Siempre se debe usar el artículo cuando se trate de momentos específicos.
(Always use the article in the case of specific times.)

Ejemplos:

Mañana al mediodía hay una reunión importante.
(Tomorrow at noon there is an important meeting.)

A la medianoche del próximo martes cambiaremos la mercancía.
(At midnight on next Tuesday we will change the merchandise).
