Indicativo o subjuntivo
Uso el segundo verbo en indicativo cuando el primer verbo expresa certeza.
Ambos verbos se pueden referir a la misma persona o a personas diferentes.
El primer y el segundo verbo pueden estar en distintos tiempos según sea el caso.
Ejemplos:
1) Pienso que puedo hacerlo (Aquí el verbo ‘pensar’ expresa certeza. El verbo ‘poder’ está en indicativo. Ambos verbos se refieren a la misma persona ‘yo’. Ambos verbos están en presente).
2) Creo que él podrá hacerlo (Aquí el verbo ‘creer’ expresa certeza. El verbo ‘poder’ está en indicativo. El verbo ‘creer’ se refiere a ‘yo’ y el verbo ‘poder’ se refiere a ‘él’. El verbo ‘creer’ está en presente y el verbo ‘poder’ está en futuro).
3) Él no dudó que ella podía hacerlo (Aquí el verbo ‘dudar’ en forma negativa expresa certeza. El verbo ‘poder’ está en indicativo. El verbo ‘dudar’ se refiere a ‘él’ y el verbo ‘poder’ se refiere a ‘ella’. El verbo ‘dudar’ está en pretérito y el verbo ‘poder’ está en imperfecto).
