Pasar – Suceder - Ocurrir – Acontecer

¿Qué está pasando? = ¿Qué está sucediendo? = ¿Qué está ocurriendo? = ¿Qué está aconteciendo? = What’s going on?

Ejemplos:

¿Qué está pasando allá en la calle? = ¿Qué está sucediendo allá en la calle? = ¿Qué está ocurriendo allá en la calle? = ¿Qué está aconteciendo allá en la calle? = What’s going on there in the street? = What’s happening there on the street?

Sólo a ti te pasa eso = Sólo a ti te sucede eso = Sólo a ti te ocurre eso = Sólo a ti te acontece eso = It happens only to you

Sólo con el verbo “pasar” (Only with the verb "pasar"):

Sólo a ti se te pasa = ‘Only you miss it’ or ‘Only you overlook it’

Se te pasó por alto = You overlooked it

Sólo con el verbo “ocurrir” (Only with the verb “ocurrir”):

Sólo a ti se te ocurre = Only you can think this
